“Rīgas satiksme” urges passengers to prepare their e-tickets for registration in advance and to hold on in public transport

New plates with information have been put under schedules at “Rīgas satiksme” public transport stops. A passenger drawn on the plates urges other passengers to prepare their e-tickets for registration in advance, as well as to hold handrails and seats during trips.

Preparing e-tickets for registration before getting on a public transport vehicle reduces the time necessary for registration, makes the process of getting on and off easier and reduces crowding at validators. Holding on to handrails and seats helps passengers avoid falling during hard braking.

“Rīgas satiksme” also stresses the importance of safe driving for drivers to avoid dangerous situations on roads. Drivers are urged to avoid abrupt manoeuvring to make the use of public transport as comfortable as possible for passengers and provide them with more nice trips.

“Rīgas satiksme” already put similar plates at public transport stops, urging passengers to be polite, to give way to those getting off transport at first, as well as to report about passengers threatening others’ safety in public transport and contained other information.
